Meet the Band
Natasha Marie started out at a drama school in Birmingham. From here, she worked overseas with Black voices, did some TV and voiceover work before starting her solo career in 2002. She joined Ska waddy in 2017, releasing an album called Babylon Rhythm in 2020.
Mark Rider first started playing guitar in about 1965 with an instrument made by his father. Before this he was a pianist. He quickly moved on to an electric guitar and performed his first paid gigs in about 1968. As well as piano and guitar he also plays the bass.
Chris started out as a lighting engineer for bands such as the Levellers throughout the 90s, before becoming a roady for Natasha Marie. As time passed on, he began playing the drums, some percussion and singing a few songs for Ska waddy. He is now the band manager who has released an album with Roddy Byers from the Specials and Brain Travis from UB40.
Dave is a writer and multi instrumentalist, playing the guitar, keyboard and saxophone, inspired by Iommi and Blackmore. Dave has been in many bands since 1978 such as "The Zoom Band","Chico" "Flash-Back Duo", "Ska Monkeys" and "Ska Waddy" (2022). He has contributed to many genres such as rock, soul, motown, classic hits, ska and reggae.
At 12 years old, Evan fell in love with the drum solo in Radar Love by Golding Hearing and began practising with his mums saucepans before upgrading to his first £70 kit after leaving school.
His first gig was at the Wolverhampton civic centre supporting Junior English (RIP). Evan then joined Ska waddy and has remained self-taught throughout his career.
